Follow-up to Sally Hansen Insta Gel Nail Strips.
"Membership sponsored product" This is my follow-up review of my first application of the "Sally Hansen Insta Gel Nail Strips". Sorry this follow-up review is being published so late after my first review, computer issues :-/ With that said lets get to the good stuff!
Now if you read my first Sally Hansen Review you would have seen that this is a DIY Gel Nail Strips kit that guarantees you results comparable to Gel Nails applied at your local Spa that lasts up to 14 days!
The Sally Hansen Insta Gel Nail Strips Kit comes with everything you need to complete a full set of Gel Nails (Full List available in Part 1 entry) From the Instruction List to the LED Light needed to cure the Gel.
So in part one of my review of the Sally Hansen Insta Gel Nail Strips I talk about the application process and timing, now I will give you my review on the duration of time I was able to keep the Gel Nails on and how durable they were.
If I had to give a grade from 1 being (Outright horrible) to 10 being (The Most AMAZING THING AND I CANT LIVE WITHOUT IT) I would grade my total experience using the Sally Hansen Insta Gel Nails Strips at a 7. The application was quick, the enclosed instructions made for a fool proof and neat application. The strips were for the most part very easy to use, however, if you like me have a larger nail bed then the strips can be challenging to use because they seem to favor smaller nail beds. I was able to wear the nails for a total of 9 days without chipping, peeling or lifting. The Gel made for a lasting shine that lasted up until I removed the strips.
I believe the strips lasted only 9 days because I am a mom to 3 small boys therefore I am extremely active with my hands and I use lots of hand sanitizer and lotion so maybe the ingredients in the products I used on my hands cut down the strength of the gel. Therefore, I will say if you are not as "Handy" then these nail strips might just be for you. Lastly the removal process was not as strenuous as I was led to believe (I would advise you to follow the instructions because that's why they are provided with the kit from application to removal). I was able to peel back the strips off of each nail bed and remove them like stickers. AGAIN, I advise you to follow the removal instructions to prevent injury and or nail lost.
