House Party.....Just supply the atmosphere and House Party will supply the rest!

On my quest to find the ultimate "Swag" opportunities, I stumbled upon a company called House Party who's mission statement is, "House Party makes it easy to have a party in your own home and get exclusive access to products for you and your friends. We provide the fun, you provide food and feedback and promise to have an awesome time"

For a Girl and her Swag such as myself, this is exactly what gets my gears going! So basically, you (House Party) are telling us, that we can party FREE of charge, receive cool company swag for ourselves and our guests "We provide the fun" and all we have to do is "Provide food, feedback and promise to have a awesome time"? DEAL!! Where do I sign up? I mean who wouldn't jump on such a cool, FREE and unique opportunity? No one in their right mind!!! With that being said, I signed up myself and wanted in on all the free dibs that House Party had to offer..

Firstly, to sign up is totally free and quite easy, you basically give some demographic info, household size, mailing address (In case you are one of the many lucky party hosts, House Party will be able to send out your party pack!) a profile image of yourself preferably partying of course, a small brief introduction about yourself and that is about it.

From that point on you are now among the THOUSANDS of potential House Party, party hosts... The key to this site is, that in order to really benefit from the membership and be selected among the hundreds and sometimes thousands of applicants to host a company sponsored party (I'll get back to that in a minute, you have to be active on the site, if you have applied for a particular party opportunity, lets say for the sake of examples, you applied to host a "Jane Doe summertime party" but that particular party has a limited number of spots at only 300 party packs to be issued out. You really want to host this party so here are a couple of ways to maximize your chances of being one of the 300 party hosts.

1.Start a conversation about the Party...
The companies that work collectively with House Party, in this case our example company "Jane Doe" will have representatives who scout the House Party site and really see which applicants are genuinely interested and excited about their brand, this includes the conversations part of the party hosting entry. So in the conversation threads on the site be excited, unique and honest about why you are crazy about the particular brand that you are applying to host a party for.

2.Give Visuals...
If you are applying to host a particular brand's party, do a little bit of investing into the company by way of googling the company, look up some images pertaining to the company or do one better, if this is a company that you are already familiar with, take snapshots of yourself or friends and family with products pertaining to the company or theme of the applied party. There will be a photo section for each party on the House Party site.

3.Check your email often!
This is a very important lesson because from time to time House Party will contact you via email with different suggested ways to increase your chances to host a party! When you receive the email make sure to respond within the day you received it, mind you, you are not the only person who received the same email with the same chances!

4.Apply to parties that you are actually excited about!
This is the golden rule to this site in my opinion, the more interested you are in a product the more you are willing to do to be selected as a host.

5.Above all HAVE FUN!!
House Party is all about fun and more fun! Keep in mind that every party you may apply to you just might not get a hosting spot, for reasons such as the extreme high volume of entries on that particular party. Don't give up! I was a member of House Party for 6 months before I was selected to host my first party..But I tell you, it was worth the wait!
