Repurpose on Purpose.
Repurpose:
To adapt for use in a different purpose...
As a novice "Pretty Planner", I come across so many beautifully decorated and designed planners that look extremely well thought out, uniquely designed and some that are so beautiful that one has to know that a great deal of money was spent to help execute their layout.
Well, I too want a beautifully designed planner with amazing stickers, and uniquely designed dividers. But, if I can accomplish this at a fraction of the cost. That would be FANTASTIC!
So I started to do some brainstorming to see what were some affordable and unique options. In the most ironic place did I come up with a great idea and answer to my designing dilemma. Standing staring at one of the many clearance end-caps in Target, I spotted this gorgeous oversized (Seriously oversized) gift bag with some amazing designs that stuck out from among the other items like a sore thumb. (Now, if you are a subscriber to my YouTube channel, you would see that the clearance aisles are a planner on a budget best friend.)
So I purchased this beauty with the full intent to repurpose it.
I had it planned out and actually planned in my....well, planner.
However, I'm not the most hands-on crafty person and i didn't want to destroy my bag and ultimately waste a great repurpose.
Thankfully it didn't turn out that way!
I created a template out of a standard planner divider and allowed that to be my guide to properly trace and cut out my new DIY planner dividers.
Once I got into the groove of things after about 10 minutes. It was easy peasy..
To secure the dividers and make them more firmer. I used a Scotch brand "Self-Seal" Laminating Pouch. I like the "Self-Seal" pouches because they are portable for on the go projects and do not require heat.
